Between two painting or two more worked out drawings, I like to come back to basics, with these outline drawings, performed directly in ink. It is a good exercise, especially for the beginners and it does not require a lot of tools: a marker and a paper leaf. Personally, I prefer avoiding using some good quality paper. For this type of drawings, I use some photocopy-paper or the back of an envelope. I can so draw freely, without the fear to miss my drawings.
But the main interest of these drawings is to empty my mind, to think of nothing during some instants; a form of meditation.
