My father-in-law was incinerated yesterday. He is deceased last week, at home, in the arms of his wife, surrounded of his two daughters. It is all that he wished. After a long fight against the disease, this one finally winned. It was a shock for everyone. It was very difficult for the children, they always knew him sick and did not imagine that it could die . The children insists that every evening a candle is lit, for the memory of their grandfather.

If you are smoker, make me a favour; consider, even a second, to stop.

I'm so sorry to hear about the death of your father-in-law, Laurent. You've done such a wonderful job in painting this candle. It is hard to paint light and yet, you've done it.

A flame in a candle is beautiful and a flame to a cigarette brings death. This is a beautiful painting in the midst of unhappiness.
